Our team
Jonathan Downes
Jonathan is the founder, lead coach and content creator. He has over 30 years of leadership experience in large, small, public and private sector organisations across automotive, government, healthcare, utilities and technology. Originally an engineer, he moved into coaching having experienced its impact following a period of burnout. He became aware of his neurodivergence through his children’s diagnoses and now specialises in supporting unconventional CEOs and creating inclusive working environments that help all employees thrive.
Katie Downes
Katie is Programme lead and the EDI Champion at Glassfull and has been part of the team since 2023. She leads on creating a community to help neurodiverse professionals work with their neurodiversity rather than against it. Katie’s energy and passion for inclusivity, community and accessibility creates a welcoming space that allows people to come just as they are, and meet like minded individuals.
Our journey
Glassfull began as an executive coaching company with the foundational premise that positive psychology improves workplace success. Hence the name Glassfull and strapline - Positive.Results.
As Jonathan built his practice, his engineering “first principles” approach took him into the fields of cognitive neuroscience, positive psychology, therapy and philosophy. From this emerged a series of frameworks that complement the coaching and are easily understood and applied in the high-paced, high-pressure, leadership environment.
With these frameworks, Glassfull expanded its remit beyond the one-on-one setting of the coaching relationship, to support organisations in the creation of an environment that allows all employees to thrive.
Neurodiversity became a prime focus as Jonathan’s children started to receive their diagnoses and he recognised the traits in himself and many of the leaders who were drawn to his coaching style.
